Linen table runners

A runner dresses a table without hiding the wood. These are woven in Riga in plain, striped, embroidered and sheer linen, some with pearls or a shimmer thread for festive tables. A runner usually hangs 15–25 cm over each end of the table; each listing gives the exact length and width.

How long should a table runner be?
Add 30–50 cm to the table length so the runner hangs 15–25 cm over each end, or choose one slightly shorter than the table for a modern look.
How do I wash handwoven linen?
Follow the care note on each piece. Open, fine weaves such as the Tinita and Transparent lines are hand-washed at up to 30°C and not wrung or tumble-dried; linen is ironed hot, ideally while still slightly damp.
