Handmade ceramic vases

Vases thrown by hand in Latvian workshops, from smoke-fired black ceramics to glazed stoneware. Smoke-fired clay is porous where it is not glazed, so for fresh flowers a glass insert is the safe choice; for dried flowers and branches any vase works.

Questions and answers

Are black ceramic vases watertight?
Smoke-fired clay can let a little water through where it is not glazed. Use a glass insert for fresh flowers, or ask us about a specific vase before you order.
