Can I keep the firewood basket right next to the stove?
Keep it at a sensible distance from the stove door and hot surfaces. Willow is a natural material and should not sit against direct heat.
How do I look after a willow basket?
Keep it dry and out of strong, direct heat. Brush off dust, wipe it with a damp cloth when needed and let it dry in the air. Willow that dries out completely can become brittle, so an occasional light misting with water keeps it supple.
