Product safety and traceabilityAs a gift
Handmade ceramics are a gift that gets used: a mug for the morning coffee, a serving bowl for a host, a vase for someone who always has flowers. Smoke-fired black ceramics are something few people have seen, which makes them memorable.

Makers across Latvia
Latvijas Labumu Tirgus: Māls is not a single workshop. It is the clay section of the Brīvdabas muzeja Gadatirgus marketplace, bringing together work by independent ceramic makers from Riga, Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale, and the wider Riga region. Delmara uses this profile for marketplace-sourced pieces when a separate maker profile is not yet available. The selection spans wheel-thrown and hand-built earthenware, porcelain, stoneware, glazed ceramics, and traditional black pottery. Processes vary by maker: some pieces are polished and wood-fired, some are smoked in reduction without glaze, and others are painted or finished with expressive glazes. The common thread is small-scale Latvian making, with the individual maker retained wherever the source identifies them.
