Baltijas Gars is a small fixed blade for the trail, worn on a cord rather than folded into a pocket. The blade is forged Böhler N695 stainless steel, stamped at the ricasso, at 59 HRC. The handle is Latvian red deer antler, banded in brass, and the sheath hangs from a braided leather cord so it can sit at the neck. Made once: you receive exactly this knife.

Care instructions
Wipe the blade dry after use and keep a drop of food-safe oil on the edge. Do not leave it wet or wash it in a dishwasher. Keep the leather sheath dry and condition it now and then with leather balm. Wipe antler with a dry cloth.

Handmade. Colour, grain and small marks in antler and leather vary from knife to knife and are part of the piece.

AAKnives

Riga, Latvia

AAKnives is the Riga workshop of Anri Ananins. Blades and steel parts are forged for the workshop by blacksmiths who have worked metal for decades, then fitted, assembled and sharpened in Latvia. Handle materials come from places in Europe with a long knife-making history, and the designs are drawn up by the Latvian team. The workshop makes hunting, outdoor, fishing and kitchen knives, and axes, and stands behind them with a European warranty. The pieces on Delmara are from the Prestige collection, each one handmade. Antler, wood and leather differ from knife to knife. Stock is held in Riga, at Šmerļa iela 3.
